Thoth 0.4.0: teams, a Manager role, and a Trash for shared pages

Thoth 0.4.0 is for workspaces with more than a few people. You can group members into teams and decide which folders each team sees, hand the day-to-day running of members to a Manager, and bring back a page someone deleted.

Teams, and folders only some people see

Make teams in the workspace's Members… window. Then open a folder's or a page's menu and choose "Visible to…" to limit it to some teams. Pages inside a limited folder are limited too.

Members who are in none of those teams can't see those pages. They don't show up in search, and their share links don't open for them. Owners and Managers always see everything.

Deleting a team now asks first, and lists the folders that only that team could see.

A Manager role

Managers edit pages, run the members, invite links and teams, and see every page. An Owner no longer has to do all of that alone.

Only an Owner can make someone an Owner, change or remove an Owner, or rename or delete the workspace.

A Trash for workspace pages

Choose "Trash…" in the workspace menu. Deleted pages and folders stay there for 30 days. Owners and Managers can restore anything or delete it for good. Editors can restore what they deleted.

After 30 days the server removes them for good. Pages deleted before you upgrade get 30 days from the upgrade.

How to get it

From 0.2.3, click Update when the app tells you 0.4.0 is out. From 0.2.2 or older, install it from the download section. The changelog lists every change.

Questions

Does this change my Private Space?

No. Teams, roles and the Trash are for workspaces on a server. Your Private Space is still a folder of Markdown files on your computer, and only you see it.

I run my own server. Do I need to do anything?

Update the server to 0.4.0, from the same image as before. Teams, the Manager role and the Trash need it. The demo server already runs 0.4.0.
