Thoth 0.2.2: back to your Private Spaces, and copyable share links
Thoth 0.2.2 is a small release. In the desktop app, the logo and the Home button now take you back to your Private Spaces, and share links can be copied again. It also fixes Settings, long breadcrumbs and SVG pictures on shared pages.
Back to your Private Spaces
Click the Thoth logo or the house in the tab bar, press Alt/Option+Shift+H, or choose Back to Private Spaces in the command palette. Thoth saves your edits first, then shows the screen where you choose a Private Space.
The space you just left is first in Recent, and it opens again with its tabs. Only the window you are in goes back; other windows stay where they are.
This replaces the Home tab in the desktop app. A new tab is now empty, and your favorites stay at the top of the sidebar. The web app keeps its Home tab.
Share links you can copy again
The Share dialog now says the exact date and time a new link would stop working, before you make it. Active links show their end time too.
A link you make on this device is listed with its address and a Copy button, so you can copy it again later. The server still keeps only a fingerprint of each link, so links made on another device cannot be shown.
What was fixed
In Settings, choosing one of the last sections in the list no longer pushes the whole view up out of reach.
A breadcrumb too long for the page now scrolls sideways on one line, starting at the page you are on, instead of cutting each part short.
A shared page now shows SVG pictures as pictures instead of a download link. The file still cannot run a script.
How to get it
Get the newest version from the download section. If you have 0.2.0 or 0.2.1, the app tells you a new version is out. The changelog lists every change.
Questions
Where did the Home tab go?
In the desktop app, Home now means your Private Spaces. Your recent spaces are on that screen, and your favorite pages are in the sidebar. The web app still has its Home tab.
Why can I not copy a link I made before this version?
The server never stores a link's address, only a fingerprint of it, so it cannot give the address back. From 0.2.2 the device that makes a link keeps its address. Make a new link if you need one.
